Winter 2026

Bindle Winter 2026 cover, a colored marker drawing by Ralph Hooten. The drawing is abstract with various curved shapes cut into sections. The curves are outlined with a thick dark blue marker, and the sections are colored in with red, yellow, plum, dark blue, blue, and dark green marker. The drawing is on a white background. The cover also has the words "Bindle Zine," and in smaller text "FREE ZINE! Issue #9 — Mooch; Winter 2026; Featuring Long Island Writers & Artists" We’re so happy to have Ralph Hooten on our front cover! He’s recently moved from Long Island, but he’s still a local artist and poet in our hearts.

What a fun issue this is! We have a triptych of poetry from Steven Visintainer on some famous NYC buildings. Our friend and regular contributor, Fred Byrnes, shares a thought-provoking poem, and William Aiello contributes his thought-provoking holiday-themed essay. Of course, we have the next chapter in Corey Gene Monaco’s serialized story, Coterminous. And T.Forte shares a reflective verse from The Clouds Collection. Two new, unpublished poets, Mary Ann Venditti and Paul Szymanski, contribute strong poems for their first outings. And Painted Birch, our resident Druid, pulls out the Winter Oracle card and interprets its meaning. Plus! We share some neat merchandise we picked up from the It’s A Wonderful… Holiday Art Market! held at Toast Coffee & Kitchen in Patchogue this past December.

See all these great submissions this winter? You, too, can become a contributor! We want to see your work — art, writing, photo collage, Play-Doh sculpture, whatever! — so send it on to [email protected]. Deadline for submission for our Summer 2026 issue is April 15! (But truth be told, send in your submissions whenever and we’ll be sure to include them in our future issues!)

You can get an absolutely free copy of our Winter 2026 issue by entering your mailing address at bindlezine.com/subscribe/. We never sell nor share your address.

We’ll have a PDF version of the zine soon.
